Throughout the summer, I needed a break from social media and screens in general. When I was in school, I loved to read and then when I got older, my time to read dwindled. So I started a routine to read one chapter before bed to wind down. It was better than sitting on my phone and I brought back my love of knowledge! Here is a list of what I read in the month of September.
This book brought me back into my habit of reading. I knew the movie was coming out and it was highly anticipated! I wanted to see what the fuss was about and when I was younger I would never see the movie without reading the book first. The first half makes it seem as if it will be a simple easy read, but as you continue on the intensity builds. I still have not seen the movie and honestly I am not sure if I will as I heard there are many missing aspects from the book not in the movie! Regardless, if you are looking for a quick read, pick this one up!
Over the summer, my schedule was full and I was working constantly. Between teaching lessons and shows, I had no routine and had no idea what I was doing when. I had to take everything one day at a time. I have been listening to the Happier Podcast for a while and decided to pick up the book. I loved it! The book is well written to see that even in an unperfect world, you can still be happy. It makes you realize what is important to you and the things that make you unhappy should not take priority. If you are feeling spread too thin, grab this book!
Shortly after reading It Ends With Us, I decided to give this book a try. This one was well written until the end where I felt it was a little rushed. I did enjoy the style of writing with the past and future as that is not common in most books. This writing style shows the growth and change of the relationship of the two main characters which is interesting to read. Overall this is another simple book you can read for simple entertainment. If you need a simple read, this is the book for you!
